Cichlid Energy Nigerian Content Policy seeks to promote a framework that guarantees active participation of Nigerians in Oil and Gas activities without compromising HSSE standards.
The Policy also focuses on:
• Promoting Value Adding in Nigeria by Utilization of local raw materials and human resources for the provision of services to the Petroleum industry.
• Procurement of all necessary materials for a project would be sourced locally, except certain products or commodities are not available in Nigeria ,Cichlid Energy also utilize a continuous assessment procedure on our suppliers and sub-contractors, which is aimed at increasing health and safety, environmental responsibility and quality of goods and services. All of which are of mutual benefit.
• Long term use of Nigerian financial institutions to fund projects and manage financial accounts (debtors and creditors
• Employment of Nigerians who are qualified and capable of being responsible of their official duties. Encourage the transfer of knowledge between expatriates and Nigerians, Training engineers and all technical personnel in other to enhance their skills such that for similar works in the future we will attain increasingly higher levels of Nigerian involvement.
• Where an expatriate person or contractor is engaged by Cichlid Energy as a result of non-availability of comparable or equivalent resources/expertise locally, such expatriate shall be required to train Nigerians who will be proficient enough to take over such jobs/services in the near future.
• All fabrication projects, in EPIC for onshore and offshore, Front End-Engineering category and those in other categories within the Nigerian content policy shall be done in the local fabrication yards within Nigeria.
