Jim Ahmad is an internationally experienced senior professional geo-scientist with particular experience in upstream opportunity identification, business development and strategy formulation.

He has over 45 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry with operating oil companies and a major petroleum consultancy, mostly in the North Sea, Far East and North and West Africa. His most recent role as Business Development Manager for Delonex Energy was London-based and focused on the identification and screening of opportunities throughout Sub-Saharan Africa.

Over the course of his long career Jim has also worked for Whitehall Petroleum, Amerada Hess (now Hess Corporation), Coastal Energy, Cairn India Limited and Gaffney, Cline & Associates.He has a degree in Engineering Geology from the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and is a Fellow of the Geological Society of London and a Member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists.
