Mr. Madichie is a professional with over thirty-five (35) years of progressive executive experience in the legal profession.

With over 30 years of business experience in Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), a large diversified commercial public enterprise, steering major Joint Venture projects in the oil and gas industry; with vast and varied knowledge of institutional policy formulation, large transaction structuring, international negotiations, arbitration & dispute resolution and complex documentation of Joint Venture Agreements and Production Sharing Contracts between NNPC and International Oil Companies; such as Shell, ExxonMobil, Total, Chevron, British Petroleum and Petrobras to name a few.

Over the years, Mr. Madichie played a major role in financing arrangements to fund major oil and gas projects in Nigeria as well as serving on the Boards of a number of NNPC subsidiaries.

Additionally, he served on Inter Agency Team on the Petroleum Industry Bill, Local Content Committee to review the Nigeria content Bill, Committee reviewing Upstream Contracts for OPEC Countries and Committee to develop Gas Directives for the Oil industry in Nigeria.

Mr. Madichie also served as Secretary to the Corporation and Legal Adviser of NNPC, and Board member of NNPC Pension Fund; Provided advise to the Group Executive Committee and Group Board of NNPC on diverse issues – labor unions & collective bargaining, corporate governance, ethics and code of conduct and corporate social responsibility; Mr. Madichie is married with children.
