Cichlid Energy is a Private Indigenous Energy Company established for the acquisition, development and operation of Oil and Gas Assets in Nigeria and other Sub-Saharan African Countries.
Our senior Management Team are seasoned professionals with diverse skills and in-depth experience in Exploration and Production garnered from notable national and international oil companies. Over the years they have brought their knowledge experience and leadership to the fore successfully managing Companies, developing new business initiatives and leading major project developments.
Cichlid currently aspires to make its first acquisition of producing or near term production assets in 2022.

Our purpose & strategy
Cichlid will seek to farm into or acquire assets held by indigenous field owners who are seeking financial, technical or management support to quickly bring their fields on production or enhance existing production.
Cichlid is preparing to bid for fields in the anticipated next licence round and is currently exploring partnerships with larger foreign E and P partners with a view to participating in future IOC asset divestments.
Cichlid will also seek to participate in the mid and downstream gas value chain developing conventional and non-conventional gas monetisation options.
Having established a profitable Nigerian energy business Cichlid will look to pursue opportunities elsewhere in Sub-Saharan Africa.
